An Edible Garden is more than just a place to grow food. It has the potential to make a difference in the lives of the people interacting with it.

We combine different disciplines food growing, with the food growing aspects of organic farming, permaculture, market gardening, with softer side of things of placemaking, landscape design. The result, is helping you achieve food growing spaces that feed the body, mind and soul, and bring people together.

OUR PROCESS

  • The first step is understanding the user and stakeholders goals, objectives and context. This is done through a hybrid method of questionnaires and interviews.

  • A holistic approach is taken combining science-backed methods such as using sensors to analyse the physical site conditions, as well as considering ground to management user relationship dynamics. This allows us to get the full picture of the situation and define the problem statement better.

  • A multi-faceted recommendation may include the following:

    • Concept drawing

    • Final drawing

    • Technical plan: Irrigation and lighting plan

    • Maintenance plan

    • Estimated budget required

    • Programme breakdown

  • Co-creation: Co-designing the final output with the stakeholders, getting their ownership and buy-in.

Build: Building the physical project with the help of partners.

Maintenance: Providing regular support to ensure a successful maintenance plan.

Programmes: Activating programmes to ensure continued engagement with users.

RESIDENTIAL Home Kitchen GARDENS

We believe home kitchen gardens should be a space of inspiration for homeowners. It is a real privilege to be able to harvest the freshest produce ala minute. Our esidential designs aim to excite the taste buds and plate with mixtures of native crops, edible flowers, and much more. I also consider the look and feel of the space, ensuring that your kitchen garden draws you in and makes you feel like you never want to leave.

Read about a recent residential project: Tiny Play Farm:

  • Jolyne and Andrzej had a vision of building a community of young families using the kitchen garden at its core.

We turned a narrow strip of bare soil into a thriving kitchen garden growing culinary herbs, native vegetables and fruits. It combines a playful whimsical design with functionality.

The garden serves many purposes beyond just produce.

It provides clean forgage for their pet love birds and family meals. It also provides sensory education to young children through farm-to-table activities.

If you are interested to tap into the potential of a kitchen garden at home to go beyond clean food, you can reach out to me for a chat.

An unlikely build: Urban farms within institutions & Commercial spaces

Schools, hospitals, offices and housing developments may sound like the unlikeist places to grow food. But turns out that you would be completely wrong.

Urban Farms serve as educational nodes in schools, theraputic gardens in hospitals and team building spaces in offices. Often there is a desire to grow food but often there is a lack of knowledge where to start, or how much budget or resources are needed to run and operate such a project.

Through my experience running institutional projects, I provide the following services for institutes:

1. Feasibility study
2. Concept drawings
3. Final technical drawings
4. Implementation plan for operations
5. Maintenance plan
6. Project management for build phase
7. Training for staff and managers
